Feathers of Native Americans

The Sioux are a confederation of several Native American tribes, including the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota. Historically, they were a nomadic people who followed buffalo herds, which were central to their way of life. The Sioux were known as brave warriors, skilled riders, and master hunters, with their society built on strong family ties, respect for elders, and spiritual traditions.
The name "Sioux" means "little snakes" – a term used by their ancient enemies. They speak the Dakota language and believe in Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit, a divine force that fills the world.
Eagle feathers are a sacred symbol for the Sioux, worn in headdresses as a sign of honor and respect. They were a warrior's distinguishing mark, with the number of feathers indicating their authority and achievements in battle. One feather equals one great deed.
Our Sioux earrings consist of two feathers – give them meaning for yourself. Two feathers – two deeds. Yours. Personal.
