Namibia, a strike beauty land, is home to many cultures and ethnics. Around the 16th century, the Himba people, also called ‘red tribe’, crossed to Namibia from Angola. For a Himba woman, her hair is her power. It reflects marital status, age, wealth, and rank within the group. Close relatives spend hours creating elaborate and socially symbolic hairstyles. This pair of earrings was inspired by a traditional Himba woman – strong and absolutely beautiful.
